The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc all through 2020 and dismantled the supply chains of apparel and textile industry which will take time for consolidation.
However, despite the pandemic, US-based shop floor technology expert TexTempo has stated 2020 has been a good year for its business and is expecting great things to come in 2021.
While speaking to Apparel Resources, Greg Hathcox, Sr. Vice President of Sales, TexTempo revealed the strategic plans for the upcoming year which are aimed at tapping bigger chunk in the market for shop floor technology solutions.
According to Greg, strategic plans of the company include increasing presence in industries such as furniture, mattress/bedding, auto interiors, etc. The company is also ramping up its partnership with IPE (Incentive Payroll Experts) which provides ‘Made in USA’ solutions for increasing shop floor productivity and deals in automation for incentive payrolls.
“We are growing our investment in marketing and internal development. We want to build the TexTempo brand to include white labelling of our partner solutions,” commented Greg.
The growth plans have come after analysing that there is an immense need in the US manufacturing industry for eliminating the indirect costs from the processes to increase profitability through better visibility.
“We want to show manufacturers the full picture of labour/WIP/Machines so that they can focus on continuous improvement resources in the correct area. Most companies we work with have told us that their factory floors are a ‘black hole’ – orders go in and they hope for the best and find out when the order is ready to ship,” shared Greg.
With the well-structured plans, as says the company, it is also aiming at growth outside USA now and 2021 will be a defining year for the same.
